Master Plumber / Lead — Bellevue Eastside (crew lead, PL01)
Master plumber lead role with a contractor in our network. PL01 master license required. You'll run a 2–3 person crew on complex jobs — full-home re-pipes, water main replacements, trenchless sewer projects, and larger remodel rough-ins. Less day-of-dispatch volume, more project work where you set the pace and own the outcome.
What you'd be doing
- Lead a crew of 2–3 plumbers on multi-day project work across the Eastside
- Scope and price complex jobs including full-home re-pipes and water main replacements
- Run trenchless sewer projects (pipe bursting, CIPP lining) where excavation is constrained
- Pull permits and coordinate City of Bellevue plumbing inspections
- Mentor journeymen and apprentices on advanced techniques
- Sign off on work as the master-licensed responsible plumber
What you bring
- Washington State master plumber license (PL01) in good standing
- 10+ years residential plumbing experience, including 3+ leading crews
- Trenchless sewer experience strongly preferred (pipe bursting, CIPP)
- Comfortable with permit pulls, inspection scheduling, and code reference work
- Strong project-management instincts — keep crews on schedule and on price
Skills we're looking for
- Master-level residential plumbing (full systems)
- Re-pipe scoping and execution (copper, PEX, CPVC)
- Water main replacement (open trench and trenchless)
- Trenchless sewer rehabilitation
- Crew leadership and project management
- Permit and code coordination
Compensation and benefits
- Hourly rate $55–75 depending on experience and book of relationships
- Bonus structure on completed projects (paid quarterly)
- Full health, dental, vision, plus 401k match at 4% via the contracting company
- Company truck + tool reimbursement
- Path to equity stake in the contracting company for the right candidate
Schedule
Full-time, project-driven; less emergency rotation than service roles
What working in Bellevue looks like
Our network covers all 17 Eastside neighborhoods out of Downtown Bellevue. Most jobs are within a 15-minute drive. The highest-volume areas you'd rotate through:
- Downtown Bellevue plumber — High-rises, condos, and townhomes. We do a lot of stacked-flat sewer work and high-rise riser servicing down here.
- Mercer Island plumber — 1880s East Seattle settler homes through 1960s-70s Mercer Island Estates subdivisions to modern waterfront estates. Premier-market plumbing with the highest property values on the Eastside.
- West Bellevue plumber — Older waterfront and view homes with mature trees. Sewer maintenance and waterfront supply-line preservation are key here.
- Kirkland plumber — From 1860s Houghton settler-era housing through 1988 South Juanita/Rose Hill annexation tract construction to modern lakefront luxury. Wide repair pattern range.
- Redmond plumber — Ten distinct neighborhoods spanning 1950s annexations on Education Hill through 2010s+ tech-driven new construction. Mid-90s polybutylene replacements are increasingly common.
The core services you'd be running daily:
- Sewer Line Repair and Replacement — trenchless when possible. camera-first, dig-only-when-needed.
- Water Main Repair — from the meter to the house. trenchless replacement available.
- Water Heater Repair and Replacement — tank, tankless, gas, electric, hybrid heat-pump. installed today in most cases.
- Leak Detection and Pipe Repair — slab leaks, pinhole leaks, ceiling drips. located with acoustics and thermal — not drywall demolition.
